About Embodied Truth

My practice is called 'Embodied Truth' because I believe that many forms of pain limit our potential to fully live into our personal truth, and my goal is to uncover the source of pain and foster healing through touch, breathing exercises, and Massage Therapy. I believe the concept of 'health' is comprehensive and needs to take into account the spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being of an individual as much as, and at times more than, one’s physical health.

The health of our families, communities, neighborhoods, cities, and global community rely on the health of individuals. Our humanity is wrapped up in our healing and health. Without health and wellness we are unable to be fully alive; fully at home in ourselves as human beings.  My goal is to help you return to and maintain a compassionate, pain-free life so that you can sink more deeply into your own embodied truth.

About Emily

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist through the NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) as well as the State of Michigan and am insured by the ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals).

I specialize in Clinical Massage Therapy including Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, and Myofascial Release and have many years of clinical experience working with sufferers of chronic pain due to postural deviations, joint pain, tension headaches, migraines, and TMJ. I also practice Relaxation bodywork and am Prenatal Certified.

As a Bodyworker, I am in constant awe of our bodies and their ability to heal themselves. I am grateful for the opportunity to foster the healing process in the people I work with, and appreciate the opportunity to bear daily witness to the mind-body connect
